The Finns reworked many of the original German magazines, sometimes adding plastic bottoms of Finnish manufacture. The larger metal pin was usually used to repin the new bottom, probably because the hole in the magazine tube had been damaged or enlarged in the process.
Note also the zig-zag spring replacement for the original coil magazine. Luke
