Ed,

I cannot speak as a "collector" since I collect shooters. In my opinion the gun would certainly be more desirable if it were relined as a 9mm instead of 30 Luger, however, a relined Luger in any caliber is an alteration that I think would significantly impact collector value. I have suffered a bad experience with a relining job from a highly regarded gun shop. I suggest that you leave the gun as it is, factor in the cost of a 9mm relining job in your selling price, and let the buyer (not you) risk a butcher job if they choose to have it relined again. KFS
