As we admire and enjoy the German weapons to which this forum is dedicated, let us remember that they were, in fact, produced in such large numbers in an attempt to defeat the servicemen that we honor with this day. The C96s, P08s, and later P38s of the World Wars remind us that free and not-so-free nations stood up to determined aggressors with technical expertise. Our fathers and grandfathers succeeded because they did not back down when the going got tough.
I take this opportunity to salute Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham, Medal of Honor winner, for his heroic and selfless courage that prompted him to throw himself on a live grenade to save his patrol. God bless the men and women who now serve in the current battle to preserve freedom. Russell This message will be posted on multiple forums.
