Please excuse this ignorant comment, but this piece looks like a 1920 9mm commercial luger with the Navy grip strap markings. Are there any other features of this pistol that I may be missing that makes it a Navy procurement piece? There have been previous postings on both Forums in the past as to how easy it is to fake this sort of rare Navy. How are the Navy markings made....pantographing, engraving, or stamping? What should one look for to make one think the stamping was original or not?
