Mike,

You should like your new pistol very much. For a good reference about these, find a copy of Mauser Parabellum by Francis C Allan. It is getting hard to find but is all about these Mauser built pistols. LugerDoc did h ave a few copies. You could drop him a personal message and ask if he has any left. If you are lucky, you can find old copies of Gunfacts magazine from 1969 and 1970 that have a multi-part series. Much of the information in Allan's book is from this series.

I have a 6" in .30 cal and it shoots great!
