I know next to nothing about Luger shoulder stocks but this eBay offering looks like a $3 bill. It is purported to be police unit marked (Schupo of Aachen). Several things appear wrong: 1. The â??policeâ? marking uses a capital N in the abbreviation for Aachen. Regulations specified a lower-case n. Coincidentally or not, the pistol with this marking was recently discussed on the LugerForum (http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...8976#post98976). The marking on the pistol is correct (S.An.336.). 2. I have never seen a Schupo-marked shoulder stock and seriously doubt that they had them. Even if their Lugers were originally LP08s, they were reworked to have shorter barrels before being issued to the police. With no LP08s, they would not need shoulder stocks and I doubt that the IMKK would have permitted them. I canâ??t tell from the post whether the matching pistol may have originally been an LP08 but certainly by the time it was unit marked, it was a P08. 3. The stock looks too good. If it had been in police service, it would show much more wear. I would appreciate comments from members who know these stocks better.
