Holster Markings for 1918 DWM SB 5528

Here is photo for back of holster as the front and the Luger is shown in previous post. Should I treat the leather where the black is gone? An interesting note is that where the V shaped notches are cut out of the belt loops is that the wire attachment for a GI web belt fit perfectly. Maybe the GI that liberated it wore it in combat.
