Default TLSS-UPdate

Sending out Tom Armstrong's 1915 DWM Police and Marvin's Double Date DWM this week. Tom Norwood is next on the "hot" list. Still have some sub work going on Frank Manders and Steve L's Lugers. Rick Kimmel's Luger.............is next after that! Still upgrading the shop to increase production. Got some equipment in last week and will be building some apparatus to go with it! Before I start on the wish List I plan to redo a PPK next! ~~Thor~~

If that PPK doesn't turn out all that well (I know, fat chance) maybe you'll sell it to me... I'm in the market for a PPK in .32ACP

Well until the 1960s they weren't too bad. You were required to have a license, but they weren't hard to obtain, and the rules weren't too onerous, and of course all the guns had to be registered.

In the early 1970s we had several politically motivated killings. They called all those registered guns in for "ballistic checks", eventually we got them back. Then after the assasination of the Governor and his ADC (and his dog) they called them in again. This time they announced they would not be returning them, but that they would be dumped at sea.

There was such an outcry from competion shooters who had thoudands of dollars tied up in competition rifles and the like, that they finally compromised and said that people wanting their guns back, could ship them off the island. Many of us did just that, I shipped mine to the US.

Today the restrictions are very tight, no guns for personal defense. You may own a rifle for competition shooting, but may not possess ammo. When you go to the meet, one member who has a "special" license to possess ammo will issue you your ammo. Most ammo is rimfire, no centerfire weapons. I gave up on competition because it was just too restrictive.

I now keep all my guns in MA, and do my shooting there, because in Bermuda only the criminal have guns, not even the police. You hear the 2nd amendment advocates saying that it could happen in the US, well believe me, it certainly could, once the Govt. has control you have no choice.

So there you have it... no Luger shooting in Bermuda for The Dok

You forgot to tell us how effective all this was in finding the assasins. Surely they were honest enough to turn in thier weapons for balistic tests! I also have some arizona swampland for sale.
