If you have no way of tracking the delivery of that luger to your buyer in France, your only option might be to return the money.

However, I would suggest you report that luger and its serial number as "stolen" to the French authorities. If your buyer does not have the luger, he has no problem. If he has it and tries to register it, he may have difficulties.

Also...if other parties stole your package in France, they same would apply.

I would even report it as stolen in Norway...in case the theft occurred in your country...
