Default Cropping photos...

Cropping is the term given to cutting off the unnecessary part of photographs that will be displayed. By doing this you eliminate the need for the data for that part of the photos to be transmitted, and it makes the photo file smaller... That makes upload and display a lot faster for those of us who are operating on a dialup connection.

You can do this in Microsoft Photo Editor which should be on your computer if you are operating under Windows 2000 or later, or maybe even earlier versions.

Open the photo in that application, then select the dashed rectangle tool from the tool bar... draw a rectangle around that portion of the photo that you want to keep and then using the "image" menu, select "crop" and the rest of the photo disappears... save the image that is left and you are done.

Here is the first photo that you uploaded and displayed after being cropped to just the holster...

Do some experimentation with the software and you will see that it is really easy.
