Bern Wooden Magazines...
Detail of the bottom of the wood on Bern-produced wooden magazines is a bit different than their German DWM counter parts. The round shape of the finger "knobs" holds their shape along the bottom surface...whereas the DWM bottoms tend to blend the knobs with the rest of the wooden bottom and the round shape of the knobs is lost along the bottom. Tubes tend to have a more "satin" finish, as well.
These three (3) are for M1906 W+F Bern lugers (aka '24 Bern or M1906/24 Bern). The one on the far right has 2-digits of the serial number stamped : |
