Some good info above, except the waterfalls thing, at 270 feet Snoqualmie falls a touch short of the tallest in the US, by around 2,000 feet.
Another fun thing to do is take the waterfront Trolly, goes from up near the train station along the waterfront, past the Aquarium, and several piers with some good places to eat. When up there a couple weeks ago with Tac, it was hard to get him and Ig away from it.
It is also very close to the entry for Pikes Place market. The transit system is free in the downtown area, if you get into the transit tunnel you can cover a lot of area very quick, stops near the monorail and pioneer square make it an easy way to get around.
