Default 06/29 question ?

Hi forum members. I saw a red grip 1929 today that was overall a very nice piece. All matching with virtually mint grips. 98% finish with a little high point holster wear. All properly proofed with Muelmann acceptance stamp. One thing that puzzled me though was the chamber face area where the bolt locks into the barrel. It is blued. I have a brown grip and a black grip and they both have this area in the white or polished looking. Is this a characteristic of the reg grips? This has a serial range of 50xxx. Or is a sign that the gun was rearsenaled at some point? The barrel is starting to brown a little on the outside like you will see somtimes with old blue finishes but the frame and reciever blue looks different and isnt browning. Thanks for any thoughts
