Tom,
Have gone over it with a jeweler's loop out in the sun and no import marks anywhere !!!!!
after i got it sunday, went to another collector friends house and he disassembled it and we checked what your talking about and with no top end on pistol the block goes up fine...........after reassemble i used his mag out of his 1916 DWM and toggles lock back fine...........so my apparent diagnosis is a weak mag spring, could even tell the difference between his and mine outside of gun................min only locks back very intermittently also noted that mag doesn't seat up tight to base of magwell....1/8" play or so.............is it posible to restretch mag spring or get a period one to make original function for future display ????????

will contact you to get an aftermarket mag if i decide to shoot it....
