I know virtualy nothing about the subject matter so please bear with me. My Uncle returned from WW2 with a Luger and holster. It was in my fathers care for many years until he passed away. I have had it for about 20 years and am curious to learn more about it.
The grips are plastic. Clear on one side and Mother of Pearl on the other. The seriel number is stamped on the gun and the last two digits placed all over the gun. 1938 and S/42 are on the top. Gesichert is also stamped on this gun. There are also a number of tiny stampings that are hard to distinguish. The clip is stamped with a different seriel number and also has some tiny marks. Any information would be appreciated and also how important is it to try to figure out what the tiny stampings are ? |
