Well it was almost a total waste of time, coin dealers people selling nuts etc.. There were two Lugers there. The first a very nice Portuguese M2 Sn. 2863 priced at $2000. I almost tried to work a lower price, but then took a second look using a strong flashlight. A nice even patina until you got to the safety area. There it looked like it had been cold blued. The guy said he had a Stoeger Luger; I might try to get in touch with him about that one. If anyone wants to get a hold of him on the Portuguese let me know as I have his number.
The second was a guy wandering around with a 1920 DWM frankenluger. All matching, but it did have a few Erfurt parts. He was not trying to sell it, just wanted info. Ended up empty handed, wasted 5 hours of my life and $5! ![]() ![]() ![]()
