Post Still another 1939/42 question

I'm kind of green on Lugers so I hope these questions aren't too stupid. I just traded a bunch of stuff to a friend and ended up with this Luger. It is a 1939/42 variation. It's probably in about 90%+ condition. It has all matching numbers including two numbered and matching magazines and numbered holster. It also has the Waffenampt (sp?) marked takedown tool.

What would a fair market value be? How should I store it for posterity? I saw a page on how to clean the grips with soap and water, what do you all think about that? One grip is a little loose.

Thanks
