Luger is a romantic choice, but a poor choice for a gun you would stake your children's life on. It would be like relying on an old Colt Army 1973. There are so many better choices today in firearms that are smaller, lighter, won't snag, may be DAO if desired, have decockers and are almost 100% feed reliable with hollow-point ammunition. JMHO.
