Post Side plate issues

Took my mis match shooter to the range for the first time Saturday. I have rebarreled it to six inch and checked every thing quite thoroughly. Every time I fire the pistol it ejects and feeds properly, however, when I pull the trigger for the next round it acts as though it is not cocked. I know that it is because, correct me if I am wrong, I would assume that it would slam fire because of the firing pin protruding from the bolt. As far as I can tell, this only leaves one culprit, the sideplate/trigger lever. In the shop it functions flawlesly. The sideplate is not loose and the trigger pull is smooth and crisp. I would appreciate any help in trouble shooting this problem.
