Post P08 Luger Netherlands

I have been put in an awkward position by a man I work with,I mentioned I would like to buy a luger and just so happened he had one he would sell,Not being at all knowledgeable on lugers.I need some info as well as a fair offer to give him for his pistol, It seems in very decent shape, apperance wise. It is a 9mm,It has wood grips,The barrel has a four digit serial number and a crown with an N under it. from the John Walter's book on lugers we determined it to be from the Netherlands,It has one common serial number on the majortiy of parts, however it does have some small parts that are of another two digit number.Under the safty it has the word,"GESICHERT". there is no date or letter on the top of the gun,It has one clip with a wood bottom on it with the gun.I have been told from another soure via email from same description that this was a comercial gun, rather then a military gun.I would like to be able to confirm or disprove this with any help. From the best of my knowledge this is all i can remember about this gun. Thanks for any and all help
