Post Erfurt-problems.....

I have a 1912 Erfurt police rework. (with sear safety). The gun has been used quite a bit, 90% blue, less than 10% straw. Minor pitting on grip strap (think I can get most of it of...), but all matching with matching police replcement magazine..

But here is the problem:
If I pull the toggle-top back, and then ease it forward it's not possible to fire the gun. The trigger does not work. But if I pull the toggle- top back quite hard/brutally and just let it go forward on its own, it's possible to fire the gun.

Any thought's???
