The wooden grips in most early Lugers are stamped with the last number of the serial number of the gun, often the last two serial numbers. Nice gun and I regret to inform you that there is no known cure for "Lugereites" other than total isolation from the cause.A brief cure can be made by obtaining more Lugers.
