As Gunbugs said press really hard on the Magazine release, but also pull the magazine down with your other hand.

Fail to chamber
- be sure you are not trying to load 9mm into a 7.65.
Interarms Mausers come in both chamberings but they use the same magazines.

The first digits of the serial number indicate chamber 10.xxx is 7.65mm and 11.xxx is 9mm

ps. The Interarms Mausers are P-06 rather than P-08.
