1899 or 1900 Luger
I received a Luger from my grandfather some time ago. He got it as a gift from his father after World War II.
My great grandfather was apart of cleaning up battle areas during the war, and said he took this Luger off of a dead Nazi (German) Officer. Grandpa said the gun was always “shiny” and never dark. Grandpa kept it in a box and never even cleaned it since he got it from his father. I have done a lot of research and either I have the Holy Grail of Lugers, or a Frankenstein Luger. I only see the number two and number six in places that don’t normally have numbers Thanks - and yes, it has seen better days. |
