Help with S42 40 date ...

Hi Howard, welcome to the Luger Forum. 1940 Lugers should be marked with a "42" not an "S/42". If you have not made an error and are looking for a collectable, turn around and run the other way. This pistol is made up from parts of at least two Lugers. Look at the magazines. Are they stamped 2/1001 on the side. These are post war East German Manufacturered pieces.
