I wasn't sure about the side plate inside number because of what I read on this forum about the inside number being one higher then the first digit of the serial number. Rule after 1939 is 1 higher than the first two digits. So "00 + 1 = 1".
* I believe this applied to all single & two digit pistols (numbered below 100).
