Default Lugers In Movies-Heroes of the Telemark

Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris mount clandestine and persistant commando raids in an attempt to destroy NAZI Germany's Heavy water equipment and product. A good shoot out between a Luger and a P.38 shooter. Kirk has the P.38 and fires a return round to kill his enemy at close range. Another sequence of shooting floating sea mines with a board stock P38 was a little unbelieveable. The mines were hit but wouldnt only a hit to the trip switches mounted on spines cause them to explode. A target the size of a top of an eraser at 50 yds + that is bobbing up and down really seemed like stretching it. The German facilities were always WAY to easy to penetrate, I think these important facilities would have been more heavily guarded and I dont think the Germans were as much a bunch of bumbling guards as the movie portraited them. The German that played Colonel Kramer in Where Eagles dare was in this movie also.

Lots of Sking in Norway. All in all an entertaining movie.

Parts were not real believable but still entertaining. I would rate it a 6.5 on a scale of 1-10. Worth seeing for sure! I have Desert Rats and The Desert Fox on the way from Amazon.com. Bis Spaeter.........Ted
