New Old Stock
Okay, This is my 9mm Navy Carbine - essentially a 1920 carbine that was put together and fixed by Don, GT and Jimmy Solomon - I had picked up a stock that had an original, marked stock attaching lug, but someone had used a stock that they had, and it was curved like a Winchester or the like.
Folks seemed to feel that it was 'not original' enough looking to fulfill the requirement by the BATF. Personally I thought it did - but then Jim offered me an original stock, that he had refinished and re-checkered it. Don also MADE the forestock for me, using an original as an example and Jim checkered. I know I need to redo the grip stocks, or put some on that are lighter (i had cleaned them up and added BLO before I got the stocks).
