Hold open latch operation

Hi Group,

Which parts on the mag are supposed to actuate the hold open latch?
My 1917 DWM will not lock open with the mag inserted.

With the mag removed, I can use my little finger to raise the rail from the top - while holding the toggle open. The toggle will then rest properly on the latch and stay open.
(I can't imagine trying that after the last-round [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

One additional detail, the mag does not 'pop' free from the well when pressing the release. I have to pull it down when pushing the button. It does have an audible click when inserted - but maybe a bit snug the last quarter inch?

I would appreciate info on what-makes-it-work, and ideas on what to do.
