yard sale find last Sunday ( guy works flipping foreclosed homes) so he comes up with all sorts of cool stuff
Anyway we were talking about the guns I picked up in the last month at the swap meet, winchester 94, remington 510p, a ruger gp100. He goes hold on, check this out. He brings out s old bolt action rifle, obviously military surplus, I see the word torino stamped on it. has what looks like a carcano magazine and the date 1881. i figured any complete mil surplus guns worth 100 dollars I bought it. turns out it's a vetterli M1870/87/15 Italian rifle chambered in 6.5 carcano. not worth very much but a cool peice of history. jim |
