Winter Storm 'Harper'...

...Is poised to hit North Mecklenburg NY at any moment, dumping 2 - 4+ feet of snow on this rural community.

Barn owners are anxiously waiting to see how bad the resulting power outage and traffic ban will be...

I expect where I live will only get ~5 inches of light fluffy snow. It's 16ºF here right now, with 9º forecast overnight. I filled up my SUV tank, filled a 1 and 2 gal gas cans with gas for my snowblower, and charged up all my laptop batteries.

I live on a state road and the NYS plows are going by every 30 or 40 minutes. Nothing really to plow yet, only 2 inches on my picnic table, but at least somebody is thinking ahead.

Speaking of talking heads, NYS governor Cuomo was on TV banning all buses and trucks from state roads.

We may never hear from Central New York ever again...

Archaeologists hundreds of years from now will be digging up Lugers from the frozen tundra...And one Whitney Wolverine...
