Smile Interarms Mauser Luger value

I happened upon this 9mm Interarms Luger at a mom & pop gun shop while traveling. The gun is mint and the claim is that it is unfired. It comes with the box and all original paperwork, etc.

I could use some help on fair pricing. He has it listed for $1k and only will go down to $950. I passed but am wondering if I missed getting one at a reasonable price. I rarely see these I my neck of the woods and never a mint one.

Should I jump on it?
