Hold Open Assembly

First,
try another magazine.
If the mag spring is "weak", the hold open may not work.

Be sure the hold open moves very freely, they often need fitting.
Thinning the spring over all will weaken it if it is too strong- but this is a very delicate operation.

It is most likely the magazine or a tight fit of the hold open itself
