Hey Gang,
My Grandfather was an officer and a MP in the 3rd Army who unfortunately did not survive the war. His wife (my Grandmother) was also in the military. Fortunately for my father and me he was a gun nut and and grabbed several firearms over the course of the war which my Grandmother brought back with her. She was a secretary with the tribunal in Nuremberg and lived there with my father (as a child) until the early 50s iirc. Anyways one of the guns is a P-08 with holster and mag, matching numbers but I can't seem to find any information about it. There are no markings on the chamber but the front strap says L.Li.76. Proof marks are an N with a crown over it. Original condition id mark at an honest un-refinished 95%. Slight blueing wear to the front and rear straps on the grip but thats it...not so much as a buggered screw. What can you guys tell me about the gun and what should i declare its value to the insurance company? Serial no. 8006 He also brought back a p38, PPK and cz mod 24 with Nazi proofs but I've had more luck finding information about those. Anything would be helpful |
