Lightbulb Minature Toy Luger

I encountered this little Luger at an antique store today and wanted to share a picture of it and inquire about it. English writing on the side says "Paratrooper Model 1117" on other side is "Hong Kong". The trigger functions and seems to possibly be a small cap type pistol. It is a SAO, unsurprisingly.

I have never seen one like this before. Is this a common toy item? Does anyone have one? What do you know about it? Date made?
