Hi Louis. It's certainly a genuine gun [img]wink.gif[/img] As to dating it; I'm sure the experienced members will be along to help shortly. Do you believe that there was a date on the chamber and that it's been ground off ?

I can say that the 8.83 on the barrel is the distance in mm between the lands of the rifling, not the length of the barrel, so you might want to get the tape measure out.
