New guy here.
Hi, my name is Casey and I live in Las Vegas NV, I have a couple of questions about a Luger I bought for my Brother years ago when I had my FFL. I looked for the forum rules and could not find them so I hope I am not breaking any rules with one of my questions. I do not know a lot about Luger's and was wondering if this is any thing special, It is marked 1912 and manufactured by DMW, it has a over stamp on the barrel ring if that's what its called, on the right side next to what I am going to call proof marks looks like a importer mark. one mark I did not get a picture of is on the bottom of the barrel what looks like a a Crown over a letter "N". I do not think the grips are original to the gun because they fit very sloppy, It has some pitting but its not too severe. The bore is a little dirty and the rifling strong, there may be a little pitting on the top of the lands but it may just need a good scrubbing. The slots for the stock has a little pitting but its not bad, did all Luger's come with a shoulder stock lug? most of the parts I can see are stamped with a #35 but I do not know if they are original or if they were stamp afterwards. If its ok with forum rules can some body give me a basic idea what its worth, I am thinking about selling it or trading it, its not the kind of handgun I collect, I am a big bore revolver or 1911 guy. Thanks for any help! Casey |
