Default Norinco 1002 parts interchangeability

I couldn’t wait, so I conducted a quick parts interchangability test. The comparison subject was a DWM Alphabet Commercial, sn 4534q. I didn’t want to detail strip the Norinco, so I checked only the major or most easily removed components.

Magazines to Norinco: Haenel-Schmeisser no, MecGar no, DWM commercial barely.
Norinco to DWM yes.

Sideplates: DWM to Norinco yes; Norinco to DWM no

Grips and grip screws: no

Receiver extension with toggle train: DWM to Norinco, no. The upper slides onto the frame, but will not go beyond the toggle ears. Norinco to DWM: yes, but the recoil spring connecting stirrup will not clear the frame at the back of the magazine well.

Toggle train to receiver extension: yes

Rear toggle pin: yes
