Problem

First examine the magazine for rubbing marks left by dents.

After removing the magazine release spring, remove the magazine catch and clean the hole and the mag catch body.

Examine the magazine for rubbing by inserting it without the catch and spring.

If it resists, look for bright spots and dents on the mag.

If it is free, Try again with the catch and no spring.

If it is still free, Re assemble and test.

If this fails to do the job remove the spring and carefully increase its tension by slightly increasing the curvature by carefully bending, Very carefully, no sharp kinks. the spring will break if bent sharply.
