..in my barrel change project.
Good news to report, that the barrel I had turned down to pencil style almost fits. However it needs to rotate another 180 degrees to properly clock the front sight base and extractor notch. After the removal of .016 from the breech face, we'll need to ream the chamber to establish proper headspace. Soooo...I need to beg, borrow , or steal a .30 Luger chamber reamer. One of the gunsmith supply places rents them, I gather, but don't remember who. Any recommendations? If it's a question of rental, I'd rather compensate a forum member than a retail company--in case anyone has one that they can spare for a week or so. Thanks in advance for any info to move this along! The front sight arrived from Tom Heller the other day, more inspiration to get this thing together. David Parker
