There are no grinding marks...I can see No loss of metal on the mag base ....just looks like an unnumbered spare.???? From all the Luger mags I have...they are struck fairly deep.... there is no dip, gouge, or displacement of metal seen or felt..!!!! HTH, Thanks, Paul
