Default Dumb question #1

Were the military Lugers of WWI also used in WWII? I would have to assume they are like 1911's, that WWI pistols were also reused in WWII. Is this a true statement for Lugers, or if I wanted a WWII Luger I NEED to be looking at Mausers & Kreighoffs only?

I'm also not seeing many waffenamt stamps on pistols. I suppose they wern't rebuilt with the frequency of K98s and other long guns, but the Waffenamts were also an acceptance stamp and not necessarily a re-build stamp, correct?

When I get educated, I'll definately prefer a Luger that served in WWII, but having been in both wars would be a plus for me.

Sorry, I've only been doing homework for less than a week.
