I recently acquired an excellent 1911 dated holster with the unusual addition of an arrangement to accomodate what I assume to be, a cleaning rod. Whilst I'd appreciate further information on that, the holster itself is profusely stamped and I'm having trouble identifying those stamps. Any help would be appreciated.
The exterior carries the stamps J.W.G 116 (possibly an 8 rather than a 6) and 1538. The interior of the flap is marked FAR 11 and HR 5. Impressed into the leather in the same area is BAX?? Over to you gentlemen. |
