Hello , I am new to this forum and just bought an 1914 Erfurt Artillery Luger . Everything other than the magazine is matching, however there is no number on the toggle pin !? Should there be a number? The gun has been re-blued hot , all straw parts including . It looks like it has been reblued a long time ago .Is it possible it has been reblued in the WW 2 era ?
On the trigger guard is a crown over RC , which I read in your forum stands for Repartur Commission. Oerall condition is good , barrel inside is rough. How would I be able to tell it is an original Artillery ? I bought in a gunshop ( consignment) .The gentlemen want it $1250 , and got for $ 1000. It came with repo stock and holster ( not so good quality ). It has a low serial number 34xx a. I would appreciate any feedback on this question and your opinon on this buy. Thanks , Guenter |
