In-Fill Of Paint On Numbers/Proofs ?

For a collector-valued Luger, does it distract from the gun's value if the stamped serial numbers, logos, and proof marks are in-filled with highlighting paint ?


Or is this in-fill a washable, temporary paint that is just done for photography and/or display purposes ?
