Vince, What are those appendages on the front sights? Are they some sort of muzzle/bore protection device?
Yes, Exactly what they are. They are a stamped sheet metal bore cover that attaches thru a spring action to the sight that covers the bore. Very rare. I only know of Swiss ones. I don't think any other country made or used them. Jerry Burney
