Default New to Lugers Need help on 1936 S/42

I am very new to Lugers and I plan on buying my first one tomorrow. I saw the gun today but waited to read up a bit. This gun is dated 1936 and has S/42 stamped on the gun. All the numbers appear to match except the mag. The bluing is about 90% and the grips are in great condition. Can someone please tell me how many parts should be number stamped and what type of mag it should have. What proof stamps are right for this gun? I am going to pay $900. With this vague description is this a good, fair or poor deal. Thanks!
