Default Installation of retaining pins...

Hello to all, I've been working on some fixtures and tooling to make it easier to install new magazine bottoms, and most importantly the retaining pins, that hold them in place... I figured out a long time ago, that when they were originally assembled, they drilled the magazine shell and wooden magazine bottom in one shot, and pressed the pin home at the same time.. (not Mauser alum.??) and as a result, no two bottoms will interchange exactly, just because of drill wander, as well as inaccurate placement and small variences, which probably changed from batch to batch. So after a lot of trial and error,...... I now have the ability to install or swap out bottoms, and re-pin with absolutely no damage or distortion to the retaining pin hole on either side of the tube... All who have dabbled in this black area of, "Mess'en around with mags!" has ruined their share of them.. ....Me included.. So, before you make that round hole oblong on that minty mag shell with the busted bottom... send it to me.. For a relatively small charge, I'll do it right... ... Best to all, til....lat'r...GT
