Default Help needed to identify Luger

Greetings all.

I have been offered a 1906 (?) .30 Luger in really nice condition. Notice the fat barrel despite the caliber and the stock lug (is it supposed to be there?). The rear toggle link is mismatched although the seller claims this part is original to the gun, being the explanation for this issue a wrong re-stamping of the s/n. Good try but sounds like a little forced excuse for a nice looking, well preserved and wonderful shooter MISMATCH...

We are probably dealing with a rear toggle link replacement and even a broken breech lock replacement (thirties markings?)...

Price asked is $2000, IMHO too much for what is offered ...
