If you are referring to the large hole on the bottom, that's where the pistols butt protrudes from when the gun is inside the holster stock.
The stock cover latch button, seems ok, but it appears that the spring that actuates this latch button has been modified with an external screw, versus the pring being secured from the inside of the stock.
Can anybody confirm the correctness of the outside screw. I don't remember any stocks I have owned having this outer screw for the stock latch?
